~ Game Over ~
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2) – You know how in FNAF, there’s “the one you shouldn’t have killed”? Well this is “the one I shouldn’t have played.” To be fair, it wasn’t that bad, and while I did enjoy some of my time with it, it was an absolute struggle to play much more often than I would have liked. Also the ending was poop. The biggest shame of it all is that I likely would have been totally ga-ga for this game if I’d played it back in 2004, but it just feels rough in 2023.
Picross S6 (Switch) – What more can I say than “it’s more Picross”? No, like, literally, it’s exactly the same format as the last two but with different puzzles. Which is all I ask for, but it doesn’t make for a very interesting review.
Kirby’s Dream Land (GB) – With the release of the Game Boy Online app on Switch… I took the opportunity to revisit some old favourites.
Super Mario Land 2 (GB) – And this one I even did a Let’s Play for!
Burnhouse Lane (PC) – The newest release from Harvester Games, I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time now. A point-and-click adventure game in a dark, disturbing world. It definitely lived up to my expectations, and may even be my new favourite of Harvester’s games. Recorded my playthrough for YouTube.
Haunted Zombie School (Switch) – Picked this back up to give it one last try before deleting it to clear room on the Switch. And then I ended up playing enough to beat it and then some. Still trash, but at least a I squeezed a little fun out of it.
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (GBC) – Played this because it’s on Game Boy Online. Kind of impressive for a GBA conversion of a console game, but in the end it was much too basic and the combat was janky as heck. Coming to my YouTube channel fairly soon…
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line (Switch) – Technically I have “beaten” the game, but when I did, I only had 15% quest completion. So there’s still plenty of play left! Also I did a one-shot video for it.
Antarctica 88 (Switch) – Starting to record horror games for Spooktober 2023 already. This is a first-person survival horror that takes place in a frozen wasteland. I’ve played many much worse indie horror games, but it’s still a bit too janky for me.
Demon’s Residence (Switch) – Absolute bottom-barrel indie horror. It’s broken in so many ways, feels incomplete even aside from the bugs, and the gameplay that is there didn’t even get a little bit of polish. You might enjoy watching me suffer through it come October, though…
