~ Game Over ~
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge (Switch) – Played story mode once to clear the game with Usagi, a second story mode run with my family on my birthday, and spent a bunch of time playing the new DLC survival mode.
Wario Land 3 (GBC) – Wrote some words about this here. TLDR: I had fun, but the game has a couple of very annoying issues that may prevent future replays.
Pikmin 4 (Switch) – Completed all post-game content. Except for getting gold/platinum medals on all the Dandori Battles, because honestly doing well in those feels more dependent on RNG than skill. And nuts to that.
Peglin (PC) – We will Peglin ’till we die!
Pokémon Scarlet (Switch) – Played through The Teal Mask DLC. I liked Carmine and Kieran way more than I had expected to, and while it’s very good on a fundamental level, it somehow runs even worse than the base game?? Luckily, I’m not overly offended by poor framerates.
Moonlighter (Switch) – While it’s not an new concept to make a game about running a shop during the day and adventuring at night, I think this is the only one I’ve played at length and finished. It’s got a very satisfying gameplay loop, never feels too grindy, and has a very surprising finale.
Xevious (NES) – I was intent on save stating my way to the end. It was only after a little more than an hour that it finally dawned on me that Xevious is so old that it doesn’t have an end. Technically it ends when you hit the score cap, but I don’t like Xevious anywhere near enough to keep playing that long.
Lost Alone Ultimate (PC) – Bought the DLC and played through that once and a half. It’s a roguelike-ish mode that challenges players to top their best completion times. Fun enough to play through once, but I have no intention to speedrun it.
Gal Guardians: Demon Purge (Switch) – A Castlevania clone with cute anime girls, made by IntiCreates, masters of 2D platformers. Yeah, I like it a lot. Despite the anime girls. I hope to write more about it soon, but don’t hold your breath.
