Most days I don’t eat lunch. I can’t be arsed to prepare something the night before, and I don’t get up in the morning with nearly enough time to make a lunch. If I do have a lunch, it’s almost always because either a) I’ve bought something at a restaurant, or b) I threw a pack of instant noodles in my bag.
The noodles, as instant noodles are wont to do, require some time in the microwave. Those three minutes are usually pretty boring. A couple weeks ago, I noticed that there was a pad of sticky notes and a mason jar of writing utensils on the counter in the lunch room.
So I did what came naturally to me. I doodled a little picture of Chibi-Robo on the top sticky, and left it there for anyone who wandered by to see. I was on holidays the week after that, but imagine my surprise when I came back the week after and saw this:
The only explanation here is that there is a secret Chibi-Robo fan residing somewhere in my office building. I have no idea whom it may be, though only one person in the building has ever engaged me in conversation about video games. Even then, he was only really talking about what his kids were playing. So I don’t know.
I kind of like the mystery. It’s a little bit like that time where I started a blog on the training computer when I worked at Tim Hortons, and someone found it and started writing back to me.
Actually, it’s not really anything like that. You can bet I’d be a little bit more excited if someone were anonymously flirting with me again.
And that’s my mundane story for today. Isn’t this sort of mindless drivel exactly what having a blog is all about? Oh, no, wait. That’s what social media is all about. Guess I ought to redirect this to Facebook or something.
