Excellent final world, and the Colosseum was notably easier than The Arena in most recent Kirby games. Mostly because the final Sword evolution is heckin’ broken.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (PS5) – You know, I think I might not be cut out for these high-octane, combat-focused action games. For all the things I like about Stranger of Paradise (and I like a lot of things about it!), the memories that endure will likely be of the incredibly frustrating boss battles, some of which took me multiple hours to win. I honestly don’t know what drove me to keep playing the post-game content…

Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Famicom) – An action platformer that was never localized for North American audiences, who may know it better as Samurai Pizza Cats. Sadly, it is simply a mediocre licensed game. Playthrough video on YouTube is forthcoming!

Chasing Static (PC) – First-person adventure with a lightly spooky theme. I enjoyed the game, but it was a little too straight-forward for my tastes. I spent very little time wondering what to do next. The playthrough of this one will also be coming out on TE Video eventually…

Cyberpunk 2077 (PC) – It’s been a long road, but it’s finally done. What can I say about this one? It’s both overwhelmingly pretentious and the edgiest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s unfinished and broken as all heck. But! I had a lot of fun playing it, and some of the story beats were genuinely good and emotionally affecting. So yeah, it’s a mixed bag.

~ Progress Notes ~

Final Fantasy III (DS) – Tower of Owen

Evil Tonight (Switch) – Unlocked the garden

~ Game Over ~ Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished ~ The Final Chapter (PC) – Another playthrough to generate YouTube “content.” So much fun, I want to play it again!
