While all the Ys games are fast-paced action RPGs, this one might be the ideal fast-paced action RPG. It’s an absolute joy to play, as movement and combat feel great, and there are so many completion percentage trackers. Not to mention that the main gameplay conceit is exploration, which I think is my absolute favourite thing about video games.

Ys: Memories of Celceta (PS4) – Sometimes you beat a game and then delete it off your console and move on. Sometimes you beat a game and then play the whole thing again on Nightmare mode, because NG+ makes it seem less impossible. And then you keep playing longer still to collect all the trophies.
