The age of Mega Man X dominating my gaming time has ended. At least for now. Now, instead of being stuck on a series of action platformers, I\u2019m ears-deep in massive RPGs. Super. At least I was guaranteed to finish all those Mega Mans.<\/span><\/p>\n

~ Game Over ~<\/span><\/h2>\n

Mega Man X7<\/b> (Switch) – If you thought I was down on X5\u2026 it looks like a sparkling gem next to this turd. Not even really worth playing just to say you\u2019ve played \u2018em all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mega Man X8<\/b> (Switch) – It\u2019s not amazing, but it stands head and shoulders above X7. Playing it brought back some fun memories of when I first bought a PS2. Ah, such simpler times…<\/span><\/p>\n

The Messenger <\/b>(Switch) – After my first playthrough, I think this might fall in line with the way I feel about Mega Man X: it\u2019s as close to perfect as a video game can possibly be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Final Fantasy XV<\/b> (PS4) – I finally did it! And exactly a year after my last play session! I gave the disc back to my brother, but I kind of want to get the Royal Edition and keep playing\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

The Legend of Zelda<\/b> (NES) – It\u2019s on my Switch now, so\u2026 yeah, of course I played it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Silver Case<\/b> (PS4) – A Japan-only PS1 adventure game by Suda 51, remastered and localized. It\u2019s pretty interesting, and I can absolutely see the genesis of Killer7 in it.<\/span><\/p>\n

~ Now Playing ~<\/span><\/h2>\n

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate<\/b> (Switch) – I just hit high rank and already there is so much more content than on the 3DS version. Purchase justified!<\/span><\/p>\n

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age<\/b> (PS4) – Few things feel as purely good as playing a Dragon Quest game. And this one is <\/span>so got-danged pretty<\/span><\/i>!<\/span><\/p>\n

WarioWare Gold<\/b> (3DS) – Whaaaaat a 3DS game in 2018? How even? I was going to skip this, but then my parents got it for me as a birthday gift. Which is awesome because <3 WarioWare.<\/span><\/p>\n

MGSV: The Phantom Pain<\/b> (PC) – Hey it\u2019s this again. How many more two-line blurbs am I going to have to write about this friggin\u2019 game? (Probably only one more.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Picross S2<\/b> (Switch) – I could be done, but this time I\u2019m actually playing all the Mega puzzles, too. They can be <\/span>quite<\/span><\/i> the challenge, which is good because regular picross is too easy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mario <\/b>(NES) – Now my Switch can play Dr. Mario, so I\u2019m pretty happy!<\/span><\/p>\n

Frederic: Resurrection of Music<\/b> (Switch) – I\u2019ve been long intrigued by this, then it went on sale for 65 cents. Verdict: Its heart is in the right place, but I don\u2019t want a touchscreen piano game.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
