Another course done, back to spending all my time playing video games, hurrah!<\/p>\n
(And just in time, because Xenoblade Chronicles 2<\/strong> comes out today<\/em>.)<\/p>\n DOOM<\/strong> (PS4) – I love<\/em> this game. I try to limit use of the L word to describe my feelings for not-people, but holy mother of Hell, do I ever love this game! It is exactly<\/em> what I want in an FPS.<\/p>\n Fire Emblem Warriors<\/strong> (Switch) – The story mode is complete. Unlike Hyrule Warriors, it looks like I could actually finish this game’s secondary mode as well. But we will just have to see…<\/p>\n Yono and the Celestial Elephants<\/strong> (Switch) – It was a cute ride that I was able to conclude in an extended afternoon. Lots of existential monologues made it stand out from other Zelda-esqes.<\/p>\n Star Fox<\/strong> (SNES) – For all the time I’ve put into this game, apparently I’ve only ever played the Easy path. Because when I did a Normal run, every stage after Corneria was new to me!<\/p>\n Donkey Kong Country<\/strong> (SNES) – Rolled from start to finish in a single sitting.\u00a0I didn’t literally\u00a0roll the whole way, though. That’s a technique for speedrunners only.<\/p>\n Doki Doki Literature Club<\/strong> (PC) – A game that masquerades as a visual novel until… yeah, let’s not spoil it. It’s no Frog Fractions, but it does a nice job of twisting into something else.<\/p>\n Deep Space Waifu<\/strong> (PC) – A unique and interesting shoot-’em-up. Unfortunately, its\u00a0defining mechanic is built around shooting the clothes off of giant anime girl stereotypes. So… yeah.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Super Mario Odyssey<\/strong> (Switch) – Still at ‘er. Moon count is somewhere around 550.<\/p>\n Pok\u00e9mon Silver<\/strong> (GBC) –\u00a0Did you know that Togepi can be great? In this run, it stood up to and defeated Whitney’s Miltank when the rest of my team couldn’t hack it. Amazing!<\/p>\n Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Sun<\/strong> (3DS) – MORE POK\u00c9MON. ALL POK\u00c9MON. FOREVER POK\u00c9MON.<\/p>\n Splatoon 2<\/strong> (Switch) – Booted it up on a Saturday afternoon for some Splatfest action, but that’s all the time I could spare from more pressing matters.<\/p>\n Cuphead<\/strong> (PC) – I may not have been totally wowed by the gameplay at first, but it’s really sunk its teeth into me now. Though I admit I’m a little sad that it’s quite a bit harder on two-player mode.<\/p>\n Hollow Knight<\/strong> (PC) – We picked this back up to take a break from the soul-crushing difficulty of Cuphead. Folks who have played this can surely appreciate the irony in that.<\/p>\n Skyrim<\/strong> (Switch) – There were a thousand reasons for me not to buy Skyrim again, especially a version that could go anywhere with me. But here we are!<\/p>\n 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2<\/strong> (3DS) – Bought it for 50% off, and concluded that I am unable to enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog. Whether it’s my fault or the game’s, I leave to your discretion.<\/p>\n Life is Strange: Before the Storm<\/strong> (PC) – Except not, because it would consistently lock up during the first conversation.
