Honestly, I wasn’t sure that I really wanted to any more. But I can’t let go. I just… I would be throwing away everything since 2006. You know, I kind of wish I actually could get a do-over and go back to 2006, with one very key piece of information.

Uh, but anyway, video games!

~ Game Over ~

Super Mario 64 (N64) – This has been my go-to Favourite Video Game for over a decade now, and to be completely honest, it’s getting harder and harder to sit through on each replay. Because it’s clunky and old. If there were a remake (with analog controls) I’m sure it’d be fine.

Jazzpunk (PC) – It’s a fairly short little comedy game. Not a lot of “game” to be had, with the exception of a bunch of cheap little mini-games peppered throughout. Mostly you just wander about and enjoy puns and sight gags. Good, but not $15 good.

Heart Beaten (3DS) – Essentially bargain bin Wario Ware, with very few games. It was fun while it lasted, though. And cheap!

Ultimate NES Remix (3DS) – Done and dusted. It’s a really great premise, but a little lopsided in the favour of Mario (to nobody’s surprise). Probably would’ve been even more fun if I hadn’t opted to get rainbow stars on every challenge. I’d love a Game Boy or SNES Remix to follow.

NES Remix (WiiU) – Playing the 3DS bundle was fun, so I decided to go back and finish up the original game. I don’t have much else to say about it. Ultimate is really the best way to go.

Saints Row IV (PC) – Took a bit of a break from it there, and finally came back around to finish the bugger off. Wonderful, wonderful game. I may have enjoyed it even slightly more than Crackdown. May have.

BOXBOY! (3DS) – I think I wrote this in as beaten last month, but I’ve gone and finished all the bonus worlds, so now it’s really beaten. Stellar game. Worth every penny and second invested.

Bloo Kid 2 (3DS) – A pretty good platformer! If a little generic. Did I say a little? I meant incredibly generic. But it’s fun and has some rockin’ tunes, so it gets a pass.

Life is Strange – Ep.3: Chaos Theory (PC) – It’s fun to poke around in the game world to find little jokes and photo-ops, and rewinding time to see the different outcomes to choices is cool. But God damn I wish this was a movie instead because I don’t want to wait another three or four months to see how it turns out.

The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PS1) – A MegaMan Legends spinoff. It’s pretty fun, but I still would have felt ripped off if I’d paid the $200+ asking price from an eBayer. Thanks, PSN!

~ Now Playing ~

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (3DS) – I think I’ve hit my skill ceiling, and cannot progress any further (at least not at a reasonable pace) without help from other hunters. Of course, that’s the whole point, but I’m more of a lone wolf.

Super Smash Bros 4 (WiiU/3DS) – Yes I still Smash. More often than ever, in fact. I am definitely making a case for owning both versions.

Pokémon Shuffle (3DS) – I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t play every day now. I’m getting better. Slowly but surely.

Pokémon Rumble World (3DS) – This one I only play once or twice a month, but the sessions are much longer than Shuffle. Also, new stages are going to either take forever to unlock at this point, or I’m going to have to drop some more dinero on it.

Psyscrolr (WiiU) – Ugh, it looked kind of neat and had an interesting premise but its controls are bad and it’s just all-around sloppy. Lesson: Take heed of reviews before buying indie games.

Clicker Heroes (PC) – Yes, it’s another “click and watch numbers go up” game. And this one’s got a RPG flavour, so I was doomed from the start.

Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros Edition (3DS) – It’s Puzzle & Dragons with all the freemuim crap stripped out. On the downside, the Mario version is significantly less interesting, with all the neat dragons and monsters replaced by a million varieties of goombas and koopa troopas. Lame. But the gameplay is still pretty addictive.

KickBeat (PS3) – A rhythm game where instead of just timing scrolling notes, you’re kicking guys in the face. It looks pretty shoddy, but it’s actually really fun once you get used to the cues. Music selection is meh, but it’s a fitting soundtrack to punch guys to.

Puzzle & Dragons Z (3DS) – While it spends too much time yammering on about some stupid anime story, once you get into the core game it is marvellous. More enjoyable than Puzzle & Marios by a long shot. I’m not very far though, so we’ll see how it turns out.

Um… preamble… I don’t know.
