They aren&#8217;t anywhere nearly as bad as they are for some people; they only last a day and only happen every six months or so. However, when I get one, I am generally rendered useless for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n<p>In the interest of keeping data, I&#8217;ve decided to post notes every time I have a migraine. Each one is different,\u00a0with\u00a0varied effects (known as an &#8220;aura&#8221;) preceding and accompanying the main headache.\u00a0I&#8217;m interested in seeing how many side-effects I can &#8220;collect,&#8221; so that&#8217;ll be kind of neat.\u00a0I&#8217;d also like to\u00a0see if I can nail down what triggers the migraines in the first place, and how\/if I can prevent them.<\/p>\n<p>Start: 4 PM,\u00a0April 23\/15<\/p>\n<p>End: 12 PM, April 24\/15<\/p>\n<p>Aura: Mild loss of feeling in left hand (temporary, no tingle), dizziness, upset stomach after eating (persisted overnight)<\/p>\n<p>Possible trigger(s): Stress, lack of sleep, poor eating<\/p>\n<p>Medication: No-name ibuprofen pills, taken 2 hours after start (had none handy). total of 3 taken over the course of the migraine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/torrentialequilibrium.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/migraine.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5170\" src=\"http:\/\/torrentialequilibrium.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/migraine.jpg\" alt=\"migraine\" width=\"440\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/torrentialequilibrium.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/migraine.jpg 440w, https:\/\/torrentialequilibrium.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/migraine-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I never had migraines as a kid, but they began in my early twenties, and have been happening\u00a0somewhat regularly since then.
