It’s a 10-minute game for wee bairns, but still, I played it.

Trombone Champ (PC) – A wacky game that I don’t think really lived up to its potential. It’s not exactly the rhythm game it first appears to be, but nor does it go nearly as off the deep end as similar games like Frog Fractions or Inscryption.

Dino Crisis (PS1) – Taken on its own merits, it’s… passable. It’s got a lot of rough edges that need sanding, but it’s fun enough and I like that the puzzles seem hard at a glance but are actually pretty easy. It made me feel smart.

Choo-Choo Charles (PC) – Indie horror game about fending off a giant spider-train-monster. It’s shockingly good! I would absolutely play this one again. Maybe even take up the speedrun. *strokes beard thoughtfully*

Crimson Snow (PC) – Heard it was good from a random Twitch chatter, then bought it sight unseen based on that appraisal. It worked out! I don’t normally like hide-and-seek horror games too much, but this one’s really good. And Christmassy!

Resident Evil 2 (PS1) – Played many times! Leon A, Claire A, and Leon B twice. All Leon playthroughs were also in Christmas Mode.

Woody Woodpecker Racing (PS1) – Booted up for a laff, but then ended up playing all the way through the story mode. Maybe it’s because I never play kart racers any more, but it was a pretty fun time.

Irony of Nightmare (PC) – An earlier game from the Crimson Snow developer. A fairly simple escape room game, with spooks! Played it for YouTube.

Vice: Project Doom (NES) – I owned this game growing up, adored it, but never could get past level three or so. NES Online’s rewind feature got me to the end, and I’m glad I finally finished it. It is legitimately tough, but definitely beatable without cheating.

Super Valis IV (SNES) – For the most part, it’s a laughably easy and boring action platformer, but then the final boss is an absolute nightmare. Played as a curio from the SNES Online collection.

Brain Age Express: Sudoku (DS) – This has been my “pooping game” for the last couple months. Guess I have to go back to FFIII now 🙁

WarGames: Defcon 1 (PS1) – It’s a fun little tactical actiony-type game. I don’t really know how to describe it. You get a bunch of vehicles, you drive them around and blow up bad guys. Imagine an RTS if you controlled each unit directly, and couldn’t build anything. That’s this game. Cleared the NORAD (good guys) campaign, currently halfway through the WOPR (bad guys) campaign.

ICEY (PC) – Well, I suppose that I beat it. Seems like I got the bad ending though, and that I’ll need t continue playing to get a better ending. If one exists. Because this game literally is all about how unsatisfying it is.

~ Progress Notes ~

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2) – Gotta find a big ol’ dragon.

Picross S6 (Switch) – Almost done with the normal mode puzzles.

~ Game Over ~ Pokémon Scarlet (Switch) – Paldean Pokédex complete!
